Character Name: Ruppi
Age: Somewhere in her late teens to mid-twenties-ish? She doesn't count. Also, Trolls age a liittle faster than humans do.
Appearance: Ruppi stands tall at 7'1, which isn't unheard of for a Troll, but a little tall for a female. She's lanky but well muscled, and sports only 3 fingers on each hand and only two toes, again, all traits common to Trolls. She's got a small pair of tusks, white hair in an elaborate Mohawk-like style, and blue skin/fur.
And a pic to make envisioning her easier because she's funny-looking.
Canon Point: Just after defeating Garrosh the siege of Orgimmar.

The Darkspear Troll History: A Tale of a Remarkable Inability to Hold Down a Home
How to RP a Troll not history but does pretty good looking over the culture.
Personal History: As a child, Ruppi grew up in the Darkspear's original home of the Broken Islands in Stranglethorn. Her father was one of the tribe's hunters, and with the aspiration to follow in his footsteps she always kept a bow and arrow on hand (and was the scourge of the tribe with it). She was taught to make use of the bow from an early age, and under the tutelage of her father learned the tricks of the hunter trade. When she wasn't learning how to tame beasts and shoot arrows she was left in the care of her mother or her father's tiger, the tiger being the more well mannered between the two of them. During this time she was raised on typical Troll beliefs and rituals, as brutal and primitive as they may be, such as head shrinking, cannibalism, and humanoid sacrifices.
However this life didn't last long. First the Trolls were driven from their homeland by a sea witch, fortunately, they were aided by the Warchief Thrall of the Orcish Horde. In gratitude the Darkspear Trolls swore allegiance to Thrall and followed the Horde ever since. Thus, Ruppi grew up in a time of great change, she was introduced to both the Orcish culture and soon after Tauren culture. Of course neither culture took well to the Troll's more bloody practices such as humanoid sacrifices and cannibalism, and they had to modify them into animal sacrifices and postmortem mutilation... which didn't really make the Orcs and Tauren that much happier, but hey, at least they knew they weren't on the menu anymore so they settled. Ruppi didn't quite understand why they had to change at the time and heard quite a bit of griping about it, in some cases became aware of some trolls conducting the rituals in secret.
Again, the Trolls carved out a home of their own near the Orc capital of Orgrimmar in Durotar, on the Echo Islands. Despite being a continent away, the islands were much like her home in the Broken Islands of Stranglethorn and Ruppi was quick to settle in. Everything returned to normal until Daelin Proudmore and his human navy started attacking the coast of Durotar, an subsequently the isles. They drove the Trolls inland, in the exodus the family tiger was killed protecting Ruppi, leaving the young Troll distraught. Her father skinned the beast and gave her the pelt so that the tiger could protect her from the afterlife. It wasn't long after her father was caught in the skirmishes and lost his life as well.
When the navy was driven out, the islands were overtaken by another force before the Darkspear could settle back in. A Darkspear Witch Doctor, Zalzane, took over the minds of other tribes members, Ruppi's mother among them, and lead them to the island. The Trolls were welcomed into Orgrimmar and some relocated there, and some remained on the outskirts of the islands in hopes of taking them back.
At this point Ruppi was old enough to strike out on her own, and by old enough I mean about age 10-12. Trolls are not a particularly long-lived race due to their recklessness and temper issues, thus it wasn't terribly odd for one so young to strike out. Ruppi was first sent to the lands of the Horde's newest allies, the Blood Elves. They were having a problem with the Amani Trolls, and Ruppi jumped at the chance to uphold the longstanding grudge against the Amani.
Eventually she worked her way from land to land. It was slow going as Ruppi was slow to learn and pretty headstrong, but she eventually made something of a name for herself. Enough to be considered for the campaign through the Dark Portal to the Orcs' homeland of Draenor. Now called Outlands, the land had been ravaged by demons. Ruppi didn't progress much farther than basic grunt work (nor did she particularly want to) until she was recruited to go to Northrend to help in the fight against the Lich King.
Ruppi utterly detested Northrend, despite being older, wiser (relatively speaking), and more skilled. The whole land was cursed, and she progressed with a constant feeling of being ill at ease. She made it into some very dangerous missions, but avoided being a part of the final battle against the Lich King (but instead got tricked into being used as Lich King bait). She remained in Northrend for a time, but was recalled home when the mad Dragon Aspect, Deathwing, decided it would be fun to try and destroy everything. Ruppi aided in patching up the rift between dimensions he had created, but ultimately tried to stay clear of the mess. No one could pay her enough to go after an ancient, magma-filled, batshit dragon held together with magical staples.
She had bigger problems anyway, the Warchief Thrall had left to help mend the rift Deathwing created, and left Garrosh Hellscream in charge of the Horde as the new Warchief. Due to an argument between Garrosh and the leader of the Darkspear, Vol'jin, Garrosh drove the Trolls from Orgrimmar. This lead them to take back the Echo Islands once and for all, and while Ruppi didn't make her return in time to help, she very much enjoyed the new island home. With Garrosh driving the Horde down a bloody path, Ruppi's loyalty was shaken, but not entirely broken. She begrudgingly took aide in the campaign in Pandaria, quietly hoping Garrosh would choke one something and die in the meantime.
Ruppi actually found she enjoyed her time in Pandaria, despite disliking the approach Garrosh had set forward. Eventually though, it became clear Garrosh had become deeply unhinged, seemingly trying to have the non-orcish members of the Horde sent to their deaths. After a failed attempt to kill Vol'jin, the Darkspear leader gathered the other members of the Horde, including Thrall, and even members of the Alliance to remove Garrosh from power. Garrosh, had been infected by a remnant of an old god on the cursed Isle of Pandaria, causing his pride to overtake him. He fortified Orgrimmar, and tried to form a new Horde he referred to as the "true" Horde, that consisted only of Orcs. Vol'jin lead a siege on Orgrimmar, gathering the champions of all the races in an attack. Ruppi was glad to follow Vol'jin and the former Warchief into the fray of battle (and really, really, really, really wanted to punch Garrosh in the face). After a long an arduous struggle over many months, the group pushed past Garrosh's fortifications and top soldiers one by one until they finally made it to Garrosh. With the Darkspear corpses that littered the ground throughout the previous struggles, Ruppi had no problem completely letting lose on Garrosh, despite her usual aversion to anything "hinky" like the whole old god Garrosh had fused with.
Unfortunately, despite the battle being long and arduous, Garrosh was not killed in the encounter. He was spared for the sake of standing trial in Pandaria, which did not sit well with Ruppi (she did get to punch him though). However the sting of not being able to take the kill was lessened somewhat when it was revealed that the Troll leader Vol'jin would become the new warchief of the Horde (that and punching Garrosh helped some too). This is where I'm taking her from.
Personality: As far as Trolls go, Ruppi is remarkably low key. She doesn't often let her temper get the better of her, and she can look past a person's race or faction when deciding who is friend and who is foe. In general she is good natured, upbeat, and pretty optimistic. All of which is pretty non-standard in Troll culture. This, in part, is because of her upbringing around the various races of the Horde, and working for a number of neutral factions, but also... she's got the IQ of a cabbage, at least socially. She's about as sophisticated as your average dog, and doesn't manage her way around social etiquette and customs of other races well. She doesn't take offense easily because she's blissfully unaware she's being offended in the first place. Of course she's also fiercely loyal to the Horde as a whole, and despite some distrust for some of the races, her loyalty trumps any insult that does manage to get through her remarkably thick skull.
Of course, this doesn't mean Ruppi is completely free of the signature Trollish traits. While her temper doesn't often flare in the explosive manner of some Trolls, doesn't mean it's not there. Ruppi simply has ample opportunity to sate her racial bloodlust with her work. If she's not being hired to dispatch the enemy of the Horde, then she's out tracking and trapping wild beasts. If she does show any signs of irritations it comes off as childish and quickly passes. However, she is very prone to getting stir-crazy and irritable if she is forced to sit still for long periods. In tough fights as well, she's just as capable of berserking as any other Troll, though given that most of her abilities are for ranged combat specifically, it's often less bloody and thus less noticeable. If her enemy comes within close range while she's berserking however, she's not above trying to stab their eyes out with an arrow.
Ruppi also shares a superstitious nature, like the rest of her people, which can lead her to be slightly xenophobic. While the Darkspear Tribe as a whole has made remarkable strides against this aspect of their nature- the bar for "remarkable strides" was pretty low in the first place, so it's not really saying much. For Ruppi, she's hit the age where understanding new things is getting harder on it's own, even without factoring in her superstitious scrutiny. She'll look around everywhere for some sort of omen and try to discern whether it's good or bad. This is sometimes offset or even encouraged by her sense of curiosity. If she can't tell whether or not something is a good sign or a bad sign, she will poke and prod and possiblybreak disassemble it until she can figure it out. Ruppi often carries various Trollish knick-knacks for warding off evil, and despite the disgust some of the other members of the Horde hold for her religious practices, she will not hesitate to perform whatever ritual she needs to feel that she won't fall victim to any sort of curse or vengeful spirits, or that her fallen comrades will have a peaceful afterlife. This usually involves some form of postmortem mutilation, such as head shrinking. Despite the seemingly ridiculous practices, her superstitions have also granted her a fairly good semblance of common sense. Her ability to look at a situation, see that it's either nearly impossible and/or something very very very bad will probably be the end result, and simply not do it. Though sometimes duty calls and she does get dragged along- she will be sure to remind everyone that she's got a bad feeling and that they should all probably not do this. No one to date has ever heeded her warnings and because of that she has become a master of "I told you so".
In short, Ruppi is not much better off than a caveman that can hold a conversation. In fact, Ruppi often relates to animals better than she does to other people- which has lead her to greet animals before people on some occasions. Primitive and savage as she might come off, it makes her amazing at what she does as a hunter. There is hardly a life form that she can't track, she's tamed a number of exotic beasts, and her skills with traps and camouflage are remarkable. It's the reason her social ineptitude is often overlooked in favor of what she can do on the battlefield. She's surprisingly tactful and resourceful in a fight, making her a force to reckon with, especially one-on-one*. She's aware of her prowess as a hunter, and holds pride and confidence in her skills, but doesn't needlessly gloat... usually.
*It's not really one-on-one because she has her pet, buuut....

Racial ablities:
Berserking- Trolls have a natural penchant for rage, and their ability to go berserk is the manifestation for that. In a fight trolls who go berserk go into a bloodlust until either their opponent is dead or the troll itself is either dead or incapacitated. For game mechanics it simply manifests in a momentary haste buff.
Regeneration- Trolls are known for their ability to regenerate lost limbs and heal grievous wounds at an accelerated rate.
Beast slaying- Trolls do a little more damage against beasts.
Dead eye- Trolls have a natural ability at wielding guns, crossbows, and bows.
Da Voodoo Shuffle- movement impairing effects don't last as long on trolls. apparently they're very dancy and that makes them immune to sitting still.

The feeling in the underground cavern had her uneasy since the day she arrived. She had spent a considerable amount of time scouting through the houses the humans claimed were safe for living, but the found them too confining and maze like. She would never understand why humans walled themselves in so much, if something found its way inside they would be trapped inside with it, and that just seemed dumb. And she kept bumping her head on the door frames, which was probably the main reason why she decided to avoid the cramped human living conditions.
She had found a little hut near the road, and had made quick work of making herself comfortable, at least as comfortable as she could. The unease kept her from relaxing entirely, despite her best efforts to make sure the place was safe. Talismens and wards littered the inside and outside of the hut, as well as claws and teeth of the most threatening beasts she could find, in order mark her as the biggest predator among the local wildlife. Still, despite her best efforts something still felt off.
She tossed and turned restlessly in her hammock, until she gave up on the idea of sleeping for the time being and jumped down from her loft. She roused her Direhorn, aptly named 'Bait', as she made her way to her armor, giving the massive beast time to come to alertness while she got dressed.
She gave the beast a pat on the back as they made their way out of the hut, signaling it was to follow her. It gave a snort of displeasure, but obediently followed.
Marks: the marks of the "True Horde" on her stomach, signifying that in a way she DID betray the Horde by siding with Vol'jin rather than Garrosh.
